Project 1.5 is sent, will update you if approved and eventually where and what it is
GoT S2 #5 was great as always.
Enjoying Veep (after GoT) on HBO but feels rushed due to being 30 minutes, the end scene of Ep2 was great.
Pulled BBQ chicken on lettuce wraps are made for dinner tonight, just need to reheat the chicken.
More later?

Weekend of 04/28 Updates
Today is my puppy's birthday, so we will give her the presents.
Project 1.5 should be delivered via email, and will send it out.
Still waiting on updates from Project 1, no idea of status.
Project 2 is moving ahead steady......
In other areas of my life I am floundering a bit and need to make some decisions, but that will not affect any of the above!

DnDNext Shakeup
Despite the fact that Monte is leaving WotC it is not the end of the world for DnDNext. There are some solid designers/writers who are there. Bruce Cordell to name one. I wish Monte the best and hope what other projects he has cooking work out well for him. That being said, the sky is not falling just yet, mind you it may.....I just do not see if falling right this second.
Good luck to everyone involved in this and lets hope it quickly passes so we can what things everyone has brewing!

Youngest Daughter Turning 1 on Saturday
Yes my youngest daughter Daenerys "Dani" Greenberg will be one, do not tell her but we have some nice stuff ready to go. While she may not be the smartest kid I have, or the quietest, she is part of the family none the less.
Happy B-day Dani!!!!!

Project 1.5 Update
First let me say, we have no news on Project 1 so nothing to update.
1.5 however is almost done and will get the final touches and additions by Doug Herring at some point tonight or tomorrow and should be ready to deliver by Friday AM at the latest. Not bad about a one week turnaround.

Handmade Knife Collection
Per request, some pics of my handmade knives:
This Japanese influenced piece was in Knives 1985 Annual by Miguel Amor Jr.

Handmade remake of a Tom Maringer, had the original but traded it because it was getting rusty, both blades are amazing.
This SEAL-Tac is the 3rd one made by Jim Hammond, amazing work, amazingly sharp!
If anyone has any other requests, post here on on my FB under one of my Blog links.

SW:ToR MMO, good bye sweet mistress
So with my friends over last night (see post below this one) it was with a twinge of sadness that we decided to say goodbye to the new Star Wars MMO. We did not play very much but we already finished the game on Nightmare (hardest) mode and when the 1.2 update came in with no ranked Warzones (player vs. player) we decided we were done, we were some of the last holdouts from our guild to leave, so with remorse (we wanted you to succeed, sweet mistress) we are letting our subscriptions lapse.
It was fun, we had some good times in there but ended up being too easy, and then quickly got boring. Since we all grew up MMO's are an easy way for us gamers to play and hangout without needing a babysitter etc...
Where to next, I do not know. Secret World, Guild Wars 2, DotA2, none of the above????

Lords of Waterdeep
Well, had friends come over and caught them up on Game of Thrones S2 Ep1-3, went to dinner and then we tried Lords of Waterdeep.
Once we got through the painful process of understanding what to do in a turn, it started moving quite nicely, and in the end we all really enjoyed it and are already planning on playing it in 2-3 weeks when we meet again for more GoT.
The box set up is nice, packaging is nice, I really like the coating on the cards, has a rough non glare finish. The pieces themselves are wood and simple and seem to be the only weakness in the packaging, everything else appeared top notch.
So I would give it a 4.5 out of 5, and a definitely try it out award.
Playtime seems to be around 90 minutes, but will know better next time since we were slow at the start.
Oh and most importantly, I WON!

Project 1.5
Since Project 1 is AFK for the moment I am focusing on Project 1.5, it is a quick project and just brainstorming we have almost 1/3 of it done. This project is being worked on with Doug Herring and Brian Boonstra. Goal to have it done by Sunday afternoon to send to some people to look it over and make sure it looks and feels right and get it submitted by Tuesday.

13th Age
Looks real interesting, this is something I would like to play and maybe even write for, I will be keeping my eye on these guys.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As I mentioned in an earlier post, this past weekend Jonathan Tweet spoke publicly for the first time about 13th Age, the new fantasy roleplaying game that he’s designing with Rob Heinsoo for Pelgrane Press.
Players of 13th Age take the roles of fortune-seeking adventurers in a world where powerful individuals called Icons pursue goals that may preserve an ancient empire that teeters on the brink of chaos, or destroy it.
When players create their characters, they decide which Icons their adventurers ally with, and which ones they oppose. These relationships, along with a personal history and a unique trait chosen during character creation, help define an adventurer’s place in the world of 13th Age and lay the groundwork for epic stories that emerge through play.
Now that the dam has broken, you can expect to see Rob and Jonathan talking about the game quite a bit, right here on the Pelgrane site. They’re so thrilled at finally being able to tell people about the game that they put out a press release.
In the months to come between now and when the game is published in August*, they’ll be posting here about a variety of topics. I asked them what, specifically, but they were so busy working on the game that they mostly responded in grunts and snarls. However, I gather that these are possibilities:
*Editors’ note: We aim to publish it in August.

- The origin story — how 13th Age came to be
- What the game brings to the table that’s new and different
- The gorgeous artwork by Lee Moyer and Aaron McConnell
- All about the setting: the Dragon Empire and its history, the role of the Icons, the map of the realm, how Rob and Jonathan are designing the world of 13th Age to be easily adapted to your own homebrew campaign
- The weird and wonderful bad guys and monsters
*Editors’ note: We aim to publish it in August.
Project Update
Let's see where we stand:
Project 1: slight snag hope to be resolved soon, if not we may not be able to move forward.
Project 1.5 (side project): Hope to have that done very soon
Project 2: Moving along well, again not a lot of updates till October
Project 3/4: It's slowly being looked at and thought about but 1, 1.5, 2 all have deadlines so I am focused on those first.
In any business, projects come and projects go, you just hopefully have a few more in the hopper so it doesn't stop you completely!

Kickstarter, my new addiction
Kickstarter is amazing, from games, books, art, watches even movies. It lets you decide to back projects and find interesting things to help, well kickstart.
Some great deals to be had, some video games require only $15 and you get an electronic copy when it comes out, seeing the most games trend at 60+ dollars, that is great. It is a great site, have you kickstarted anything? I have!

Just pre-ordered the MMO The Secret World, looks cool, also just oedered 2 board games since our role playing has slowed down since we lost a member figured this may be a nice change.
Once I get them and play them I will review them briefly.
Lords of Waterdeep and Defenders of the Realm are the names.
Update: I did NOT buy the CE upgrade for TSW!!!!!! Go me!!!

Someone asked about my line "collector of too much stuff", well here it is:
Animation art (original)
Sci-Fi/Fantasy art (LE's or originals)
Watches
Knives
CE Games (yes I tend to be THAT guy, but doing better this year, I hope)
Games
Movie/TV show props
Books (mostly from my childhood that I loved to read, so not necessarily good books, but books that meant something to me)
It is expensive, but I enjoy it and tend not to spend in other areas, so I think it's worth it. I will post some pictures of some of my stuff...what do you want to see?

Ode to Imagination: If there is one thing I can credit my writing, my sanity and growing up as normally as I did, I give all my credit to imagination. I would not have done any of the published works, created any of my characters in pen and paper RPG's or MMO's without you. I would never of learned to dream big and when it did not happen you held me in your soft embrace and told me we will do it next time. I just wanted to say thank you.

What I am up too
I have 3 projects I am currently working on and am excited about all 3 for different reasons.
Project 1: Will be announced soon and I think will be available before the end of the year.
Project 2: Has no announcement time but by end of October for sure and a release for early 2013
Project 3: No announcement date set, no release date need more work on it before we get to that stage.
To everyone whom is working on these with me, I thank you and am grateful to have these projects to work on with you.
