Interview on RPGGeek.com.

My first interview in a long time, yes ladies I am back!!  Thanks to Steve for asking me those fun questions.

"Obamacare" heats up the internet!

Let me just say that I try and stay our of most political and religious posts, lets face it, I design games, and write fiction I do not want anyone to not buy my product because of my political views, because I am Jewish, whatever, But my feelings are such: Anyone who is so politically left (or right) where they just spew whatever they feel is a good meme to support their side is politically blind. And anyone who would request people to be removed as friends due to a political view makes me sad. Some of my best discussions with friends are about hot topics, and at the end we usually both learn something. I admit we need healthcare reform, I also admit I do not know if PPACA is the correct bill to make it happen. So if that causes me to be removed so be it. I simply remove 99% of all political posts and meme's without reading them if they are from someone whom I do not care to read their agenda, I have never asked someone to leave my friends list and I certainly do not feel they are ignorant. OK, end of rant.

More Bluffside C&C goodness!

Well looks like we have a internet meeting Saturday to start tearing Bluffside down and building it back up.  It looks like we will be embracing the challenge rating and using it for all NPC's to give more personality and uniqueness to C&C Bluffside.  rumor has it we already have about 10 new places of interest done, with more coming soon.  Next stop reviewing races/classes and items for the C&C conversion.  Want to review it and playtest it for us, drop me a line or PM me on FB!

C&C Bluffside Update

OK, just finished 3 new POI's (places of interest) for C&C Bluffside, and it was fun to be back at it, just wrote to the team and hoping to get a online meeting next weekend to make sure we are all working on some neat stuff.

Tomorrow will work more on my short story.

OK, onto some leftover Chinese for lunch.

Dreams and The Alamo

I usually think about whatever item I am writing before I fall asleep, it helps me relax I guess, usually I do not remember my dreams but last night I had a dream about an animated film called The Alamo, it was an Old English Sheepdog and some steer holding off a large pack of wolves to save the Alamo, weird right! Now if i could just find someone to pay me for the idea!!!!!!

Sidekicks

This recreation by Jeff Dee started me thinking, some of the coolest stories have a great sidekick, This is Moonglum, Elric's sidekick in the Moorcock books, he is great by himself, but when he is teamed up with Elric they are unstoppable, he is cool enough that as a kid I rolled up dual wielding fighters just to mimic him.

So who is your favorite sidekick?

Bluffside team expands!

We went from a 3 man team to a 7 person team, 4 previous developers on the original and 3 who worked on it/ran it after the fact.  This is real exciting news for me on a personal level since I enjoy working with all of them and it will be great to have the "band" back for a reunion!

Bluffside World Tour 2013!  Join us!

Grrrrrrrrr

Well it is official the person who I have been working with to work on cover for Project 2 is not going to work out, already have someone else e-mailed so wish me luck.

More Updates

Looks like for C&C Bluffside we will be having some old friends coming back to visit, we have some of the original writers adding more stuff into it, we are very happy and excited to have them back!

In negotiations in regards to the cover of Project 2 with the artist, seems there was some misunderstandings, we are trying to clear them up, if not will have to keep looking.

Legendary Bluffside Joins Castles & Crusades!

TLG is proud to announce the return of a classic of the d20 era! Bluffside: City on the Edge!

Bluffside: City on the Edge, first released in 2001, quickly took the RPG community by storm! A brilliantly compact city setting Bluffside brought a world of useful, fun information to table tops everywhere. TLG has worked out a deal with our old friends Hal Greenberg and Doug Herring to publish a full print version of Bluffside City on the Edge for Castles & Crusades.

"Bluffside was my favorite d20 publication, barring Living Fantasy by Gary Gygax," remarked Stephen Chenault of TLG. This setting rolled out the print shop doors and landed right on my gaming table. It merged perfectly with Aihrde as presented in our own Codex of Aihrde (Erde at the time). Davis and I are both stoked see this classic join the ever growing list of Castles & Crusades titles."

Bluffside: City on the Edge Civilization is still picking up the pieces following an asteroid strike two hundred thousand years ago. The epicenter? Bluffside. Only 208 years after its rediscovery, Bluffside is a boom town boasting the most precious metal in the known world - adamantine. From the ancient ruins of Sem La Vah, to the vast Undercity, to the floating port of Sordadon, Bluffside: City on the Edge promises to become the home port for thousands of adventurers. Used as a stand alone city, or combined with other sourcebooks, thereby creating a modular world one great area at a time.

We are lining up cover artist Jason Walton of Myriad Studios to bring the City on the Edge back to life!

Hal Greenberg had this to say, "We (Doug and I) have taken a step back from game design for a while, what better way to come back then bring back one of our favorite projects for Castles and Crusades. We will be re-stating all of your old favorites and adding 12 new Places of Interest as well as designing 2 new NPC tables for their wealth and general reaction to your players for a quick and easy guide to make GMing in this city less stressful, easy and fun, which highlights some of the great features of C&C. We can not wait to hear the thoughts of the C&C fanbase once they get this giant city in their hands. For those that do not remember Bluffiside contains: new creatures, new races, dozens of new items and over 100 NPC's for the city to bring your campaign to life."

Hal Greenberg's own ground-breaking company Thunderhead Games originally published Bluffside: City on the Edge. In 2002 Thunderhead merged with Mystic Eye Games owned and operated by Doug Herring. Both veterans of the d20 wars bring all their flair and magic back to the gaming table.

Project 1 No Announcement Yet, But Here Is The Info

I will get you the formal PR when I get it, but we are converting Bluffside to Castles and Crusades for Troll Lords.  We are adding 12 new Places of Interest and some other neat stuff.  this is a small project we are doing with just a 3 man crew from our end.

We are hoping to have more Bluffside later this year, it will be adding some of the people we have talked to and some we have not yet.  More news on Bluffie C&C edition, later this week and more info on the other stuff later in the year.

Project 1 announcement should be tomorrow!

Just talked to the publisher and looks like they are officially announcing the product tomorrow, will make sure it gets copied here in the blog as well.

Innovation is fun

Working with one of the collaborators on Project 1 and told him I wanted to add a few "rank systems" in the NPC section and told him what I wanted, he got so excited he ran with it and is going to take my idea and expand on it, it was so fun taking 10 minutes to go over stuff and come out with this mechanic, I think it will be a fun unique addition to the project.

Follow Up (or lack of it)

I am getting frustrated with the lack of follow up I am getting in general, if I am asked for something I will get it to you, if for some reason I will not I will update you and make sure you are aware of the status.

Why can't you do the same GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  (that is me acting angry!)

Mad Face

What Makes You Pick It Up?

What makes you pick up that book, game, game supplement?

Title, cover, author, company behind the item?

What draws you into picking up a book or game or game supplement?

For me it's the cover, if it draws me in then I will look through it, but I am an art guy so sue me .

Comment here or on FB as always, look forward to your thoughts.

Game of Thrones Season 2

I felt it was a very good season and they really did the best they could do with such a large amount of text to put into 10 episodes (wish they would do more).  You love them you hate them but all the actors are great, why couldn't Lucas find an Annakin to match these kids acting skills?

Great scenes, great lines and I felt this series again deserves a few Emmy awards.

Can not wait till season 3, but alas we will not see them till around April 2013.

Proposal sent, weekend plans

We have sent in a proposal and hope it gets green lit, I am excited for two reasons:
1) Because it will be cool and I hope it is something that people will want
2) Because I get to co-lead a project with two people whom I enjoy hanging out with.

Plans for weekend:
Daughter was ill today had to leave work early so it shifted my whole day but...
Vet tomorrow AM, try and write some more on project 2, and I need to car polish my mailbox because I got a letter telling me its faded *sigh*

What are you doing?
